Verubecestat Promises Alzheimer’s Hope

On November 2, 2016, Science Translational Medicine published an important study about a promising new drug for Alzheimer’s Disease. The drug name is Verubecestat and it is produced by Merck Research Laboratories. The drug is now in Phase 3 trials, and the company expects results to be available in late 2017.

While Verubecestat will not be coming to market this year, the fact that such strides are being made toward the discovery of a cure for Alzheimers is welcomed by our aging population.
